Dr Clara Song

Dr. Clara Song is the Aurora’s foremost biologist, carrying the monumental task of ensuring life—both human and ecological—can survive and thrive on distant worlds. Her role extends from managing seed vaults and algae cultures to evaluating alien flora for compatibility with Earth genetics. Quiet, thoughtful, and deeply compassionate, Clara treats every specimen with reverence, whether it’s a seed or a fellow crewmember.
Her belief in the power of life to adapt drives her meticulous work. Clara views herself as a guardian of genetic potential, stewarding the Earth’s legacy into the future.
Book 1: Launch Point
Clara hails from a multicultural Earth background steeped in ecological stewardship. She spent much of her early career in orbital agriplexes and Martian terraforming labs, specializing in controlled ecosystem engineering. Her expertise landed her a role on the Aurora project, where she curated the colony's entire agricultural and biological database.
During the launch, Clara was seen tenderly organizing seed storage—treating the plants with the same care others reserve for children. Her later work on Aurion (Kepler-452b) included field testing new species, evaluating local flora, and considering cross-pollination strategies.
