Aurion Station (Orbital)

Station

Details

Location Type:

Aurion Station orbits the planet Kepler-452b, serving as both a historical monument and the first point of rediscovery for the Aurora crew when they arrived in the Enera system. Once the command and research hub for the original colony, it had remained intact but dormant for centuries—its corridors sealed, its power systems flickering with residual energy. The station’s architecture reflects late Golden Age design: clean lines, modular sections, and embedded neural interfaces once capable of linking human operators directly with the station’s systems. When the Aurora docked, Captain Aveline Morrow’s team carefully reactivated its life-support and core functions, transforming it into a base of operations for planetary descent and exploration.

Inside, the crew found traces of the lost civilization—abandoned laboratories, sealed command decks, and data fragments hinting at catastrophic events that had ended the first Aurion settlement. It was here that they made first contact with Dr. Elmo Morales, known as Bet, a surviving Synthorganic being who had maintained himself within the station’s decaying systems for centuries. His presence revealed the technological and ethical boundaries humanity had crossed before its collapse, turning Aurion Station into both a gateway to history and a warning of hubris.

Under Captain Morrow’s leadership, the station became vital once again—its orbital vantage providing command oversight for the new colony and a staging ground for reconstruction efforts below. Even as humanity rebuilds on Aurion’s surface, the station endures as the first reclaimed relic of the lost human empire: a silent sentinel watching over the world that fell, and the civilization now rising to reclaim it.
